1-14:Porn Again (part1)

A beep-beep-beep of an alarm signal began nearby. It slowly increased in volume.

‘It isn’t,’ asked Prime, disbelieving.

Elvis stared ahead, then calmly strode over to a Wildwoode cabinet and retrieved two silver pearl-handled revolvers. These he holstered and paused again at the humidifier to retrieve another cigar. He sniffed this appreciatively, and placed it in his top pocket.

He lifted the lighter from his pocket and lit his existing cigar once more, puffing on it calmly for a moment as the alarms reached a peak. With the flame still burning, he extended his other hand and clicked his fingers. The alarms stopped.

‘I’ve still got it,’ he murmured, talking the cigar from his mouth. He looked up and exhaled smoke, pausing, then calmly turning the lighter around in his hands. The flame bobbed up and down, a single piercing light in the near-darkness. It had a picture of a phoenix on its side, rising from a red jeweled representation of a blazing inferno.

Elvis seemed thoughtful as he stared at the design, then he nodded slowly.

He flicked the lighter closed.
