My Little Pony

George jammed his bill into his pint glass and sucked at the amber liquid inside.

‘Open Sesame,’ yelled a voice.

Daisy chanced a look over her shoulder. Panix was reaching down again.

‘Open Sesame,’ barked Marcus.

The enchanted doors walloped suddenly open catching Jimmy square in the chest and through the rotting wooden wall and into the pub.

He was followed by a white horse and a giant’s hand.

As the other patrons ducked for cover, Jimmy rolled, stood, then attacked the first thing he saw, which was Panix.

He was yanked out of the pub and into the air.

Daisy reached down for a bottle on the bench as Marcus veered sideways to avoid trampling patrons beneath his feet.

Her hand wrapped around something and it was yanked upwards and away.

‘What the-awk!’ said George as the glass went flying.

The explosion of sound died down and the patrons slowly looked up from their hiding places.

‘What the hell just happened,’ asked Shazza, poking her head over the bar.

Three white feathers floated down to the beer-varnished bench.

‘George,’ asked Shazza, looking around. ‘Little creep left without paying again!’

Outside the bar, Marcus took a left and a right and ended up trotting down an alleyway in the nasty side of town.
Panix was far behind them now, attempting with no apparent luck, to fight-off the bouncer. Jimmy had been given strict instructions to ‘sort-out’ anyone who damaged the fittings.

Daisy looked down at the cobblestones, noticing them for the first time.

‘Stone,’ she asked.
